Amidst the dynamic evolution in various sectors, particularly during the age of globalization and digitalization, the significance of transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct within public institutions has surged. Acknowledging this urgency, the Asia Conference on Governance and Accountability Studies (ACGAS) has embraced the theme of "Transparent, accountable, and ethical public institutions for eradicating corruption." This theme is selected to spotlight the genuine hurdles faced by public institutions in upholding their integrity, tackling corruption, and elevating the caliber of public services.
Corruption presents a grave menace to sustainable progress, political stability, and social fairness. Hence, ACGAS aims to foster a comprehensive understanding of how public institutions can enhance their transparency, accountability, and ethical standards to effectively eradicate corruption. By tackling these issues, ACGAS is devoted to serving as a platform where stakeholders, academics, practitioners, and global thinkers can exchange knowledge, experiences, and inventive concepts to fortify upright and resilient public institutions.
Through ACGAS, the anticipation is for concrete solutions, policy recommendations, and practical frameworks to surface, which can be embraced by public institutions spanning across Asia. Consequently, this conference isn't solely a forum for dialogue; it's also a tangible stride towards realizing the vision of transparent, accountable, and ethical public institutions in the Asian landscape.
