Abstract

Regions need to develop their potential to achieve regional independence. This is in line with Law Number 32 of 2024 concerning Regional Autonomy. The development of regional potential also aims to improve community welfare. Jombang Regency has various potentials that are worthy of development. This potential includes the agricultural, plantation, and livestock sectors, tourism, and UMKM. Recently, Jombang Regency received an award as second place winner of the East Java Investment Challenge 2023, where in that year, the development of beef cattle farming was discovered in Bareng District. Apart from that, the plantation sector has also exported Excelsa coffee, which can only be grown in Jombang and Jambi. In the tourism sector, religious tourism at Gus Dur's grave is still a favorite in Jombang Regency, attracting thousands of visitors daily. In the UMKM sector, Jombang Regency has various types of businesses worth developing. This research uses qualitative methods with primary and secondary data sources. Primary data sources are interviews, observations, and documentation. Meanwhile, secondary data sources are obtained from supporting documents relevant to the research. The data analysis model used is Miles & Huberman. The results of this research show that the implementation of dynamic governance has been ongoing in developing the regional potential of Jombang Regency.
