Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to analyze the effect of work motivation, work discipline, non-physical work environment and career development on job satisfaction of Banyumas Regency Transportation Agency employees. 


Methodology/approach: This type of research is quantitative with data collection methods through questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. The population of this study were 70 civil servants of the Banyumas Regency Transportation Agency. Sampling using proportionate stratified random sampling, obtained 62 samples. Data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis. 


Results/findings: The results showed that the adjusted R2 value was 0.524 or 52.4%. Then the value of Fstatistic (17.810) > Ftable (2.534). The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that work motivation, work discipline, non-physical work environment, and career development have a positive and significant effect partially on job satisfaction of Civil Servants (PNS) of the Transportation Agency. 


Limitations: This research has limitations, namely researchers can only prove the magnitude of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable by 52.4%. 


Contribution: This research contributes to assisting company management in improving internal control over the revenue cycle and adding experience and knowledge in the field of HR management about employee job satisfaction.
