Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this research is to prove that organizational culture, work environment, work motivation and competence influence job satisfaction among employees of the Tegal City Education and Culture Service.
Methodology/approach: This type of research uses a questionnaire method for employees at the Tegal City Education and Culture Office, with a sample of 64 employees. The sampling method in this research used proportionate stratified random sampling, while the analysis method used multiple regression.
Results/fidings: Based on the results of data analysis, the t-count value of the organizational culture variable was (4.495), the t-count value of the work environment variable (4.043), the t-count value of the work motivation variable (-1.660), the t-count value of the competency variable (7.159) was greater than the t table value (2.00 ). Thus, the first, second and fourth hypotheses are accepted in this study, but the third hypothesis cannot be accepted because the t count value is less than the t table value.
Conclusion: The conclusion from the results of this research is that organizational culture, work environment and competence have a positive significant effect on job satisfaction of employees of the Tegal City Education and Culture Service, while work motivation has a negative insignificant effect on job satisfaction of employees of the Tegal City Education and Culture Service.
This study merely examines organizational culture, work environment, work motivation, and competence on job satisfaction of employees of the Tegal City Education and Culture Office.
