Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to analyze the influence of leadership, competence, career development, and work discipline on job satisfaction among employees at the Education Office of Banyumas Regency.


Methodology/approach: This quantitative research was conducted at the Education Office of Banyumas Regency. The selected population comprises civil servants (PNS) working at the office. The sample consists of 80 employees chosen using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 25 software.


Results/findings: The results indicate that leadership, competence, career development, and work discipline have a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction among employees at the Education Office of Banyumas Regency. 


Limitations: This research only involves civil servants, thus not fully representing the entire employee population at the Education Office of Banyumas Regency. Additionally, the regression model can only explain 72.8% of the dependent variable, leaving 27.2% of other factors unaccounted for in the analysis process.


Contribution: The findings of this research can serve as a valuable guide for the Education Office of Banyumas Regency in designing policies and programs aimed at enhancing employee job satisfaction. The Education Office of Banyumas Regency can focus on improving the quality of leadership, enhancing employee competence, providing career development programs, and implementing fair discipline rules.
