Tantangan Ekonomi Global Dalam Kinerja UMKM

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the business performance of UMKM actors to strengthen business running in facing global economic challenges as well as provide policy solutions to develop more effective and efficient UMKM performance strategies.

Methodology/approach: This research uses qualitative methods with literature studies.

Results/findings: Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that UMKM have an important role in the Indonesian economy. Intense competition, large costs incurred and limited capabilities are challenges faced by UMKM, but UMKM also have a great opportunity to strengthen their role in the economy. With the right support from the government, community, and various related parties, UMKM can be a major force in creating economic growth, great employment opportunities, and preventing poverty. Cooperation is one of the important things for all parties in creating a conducive business environment that is useful for the growth of UMKM in Indonesia.

Limitation: The limitation in this study is the challenges faced by UMKM players due to the lack of innovation to be able to compete with other competitors.

Contribution: With this research, it is hoped that UMKM players can be supported by the government and various related parties in improving the performance of UMKM actors so that they can face various economic challenges in the future.
